First of all my friend this phone comes with amazon mp3 store and it has a app store and of course you can sync with the computer and a mac and to let you knowis going to be wayyy better than the iphone, and it does not look like the iphone is more tiny work faster and in the iphone you cant read it CANT open so many applications at the same time like this phone does thank you

The new Palm Pre is just like the Apple iPhone. It looks the same (closed) and has many of the same features. C-NET Prize Fight rated the iPhone a lot higher than the Pre. The iPhone 3G has iTunes, the App Store with downloadable apps, and can sync with your computer. There is no better option for the ultimate smartphone than the Apple iPhone 3G.

you cannot compare this to an iPhone

its just too small and unoriginal, abdolutely nothing here that the iPhone cant do.

ok?

you bet it is.

it does not compare to the iPhone in looks,

“Fast” Processor. (Not very informative)

“Phenominal Photographs” YOU RETARD, ITS 3MP.

As far as I know, you are correct. Though Palm has had 32×480 devices for quite a while and some of the features of the iPhone have been inspired by the Palm smartphones (and many others). The mobile devices industry is just like that, improving and modifying and adding to the ideas of others. In this case it appears the Palm Pre has some iPhone aspects, but many unique, amazing, aspects all too itself

8GB onboard the Palm Pre. Plus Palm has been having mp3/video playback on their devices ever since the Tungsten T|T. Safe to say, palm knows how to handle media

You mean the BlackBerry Storm? Currently it’s riddled with bugs. The only new Android device by HTC doesn’t appear much different than the G1. And the only new iPhone, the rumoured iPhone Nano isn’t expected until June as well. The only people who still think Palm is dead are the uninformed.

mes1219 April 10, 2009 at 9:47 am

whatsthedeal79 is an idiot, doesnt matter what phone you get you still have to pay for your data usage, in the case of the iphone, blackberry, and any other true smart phone the cost is about 30 per month… furthermore, if you hang at starbucks alot or have a wifi hotspot close to their home you can remove the $30 data plan and not your data is free, a lot of data phones still dont have free wifi…

cyphonephor1909 April 10, 2009 at 6:38 pm

by the time this is released there will be a new iphone, new G1 and new blackberries. its even rumoured that there is a touchscreen blackberry heading to sprint this summer…prob to compete. palm is dead

That was such a good video! haha! Good job! I like the music in the background too. What was the song you used?

obscurity87 April 14, 2009 at 5:53 am

but for the iphone people do use it for the music because of the fact that it is an mp3 player before it’s a phone.. that’s kind of what sets it apart from the other phones..many of them which need a separate music card that you have to buy

i hope you feel better now that “dumbass” seems to be your only insult because it’s hilarious how anonymity makes you feel so powerful…have you looked at the interface and how similar it is to the iphone.. and if it isn’t so close to the iphone then why are other people making similar statements? and the only intelligence you are insulting is your own buddy… so go head’ imbecile.

obscurity87 April 18, 2009 at 12:56 am

not if you unlock it ;-)

ohxitsxchris April 20, 2009 at 9:13 am

Wow. Palm came out swinging!

wontonsoup24 April 20, 2009 at 11:21 am

Dumbass, the Palm Pre HAS a keypad. So how is it a ‘fake iphone’? Get your nose out of Apple’s *** and trying watching the video next time. I’ll continue to insult your intelligence until you finally get a clue.

jenova142000 April 22, 2009 at 1:53 am

great stuff palm

whatisthedeal79 April 24, 2009 at 12:25 am

The iphone that has never had more than a windows mobile phone. The Iphone interface can easily be duplicated by windows mobile (just do some simple searches here). It does nothing more than any other device.

Iphone suckers are paying $30+ a month extra for their supposed better technology that really isn’t.

Great Job Palm. I’m sick of the iphone slobbers.

yangia1 April 27, 2009 at 9:36 am

the iphone is and allwayysss willl bbeeee the best touch screen phone evverrrr. is betteerrrr innn software, hardware, design, ….thinnessttt,…

obscurity87 April 28, 2009 at 9:47 pm

first off please don’t insult my intelligence..and i do believe that the iphone was the first phone to have NO keypad..just a touch screen and a single button ..please do correct me if i’m wrong…so before you are quick to call someone a “dumbass” research your facts first ;-) have a fantabulous day :-)

Sonola777 April 30, 2009 at 10:00 am

Things are getting really boring now, does every phone that gets released have to be a touch screen with an iPhone complex?

wontonsoup24 May 2, 2009 at 11:51 am

Dumbass, iphone didn’t invent the touchscreen. That’s like saying XBOX invented video games.

jiejenn May 4, 2009 at 7:51 pm

In my opinion, storage is not important, it is what a phone can do for me that’s important. I’ve been selling cell phone for over 2 years, and I’ve seen how little people use their cell phone for music and video, but primary people use applications for their phone. I would say 8GB is just enough for majority of people. But I do concern how fast the processor is and the responding time to open up different apps on the phone.
