399 reported release price for Sprint it will release as CDMA on Sprint and then release the GSM version. Overseas release will be GSM and not locked to any Carrier.

Just a correction. The guy said that the Pre can do stuff that the other phone (iphone) doesn’t do, like listen to music while doing other things. You can listen to music and do other things with the iphone. Just a correction.

if you saw some of the other videos they designed this around one handed use so a landscape keyboard would be useless

Xseemefly1X 04.04.09 at 3:10 pm

in the conference then mentioned an app store

You don’t really know what you are talking about.

There is no legal action and there won’t be any occurring.

A major tech website (Engadget) had patent lawyers investigate the issues and found SEVERAL Palm patents that the iPhone may be infringing, so if Apple starts a lawsuit, Palm will start their own.

why sprint? why pull an apple & at&t move. hope there’s a gsm version so the whole world can enjoy it and boost sales. apple and nokia is available worldwide, i would palm also wants this, but ifs stuck with sprint, then am disappointed.

I’m finally able to say: This phone is beautiful! I have an iPhone and I must say that it is the only one who has truly satisfied me, because of the beauty of the design and the simplicity and the flow. I’ve used other Windows Mobile devices and they ******. Laggy and slow… But the Palm Pre seems amazing!

Wankerlito 04.11.09 at 1:06 pm

Why would I not beleive it it’s on a reputable website. Yea it’s ridiculous but its apple’s IP. Apple patented the Iphones multitouch capability because of companies like palm. Why don’t you visit the official website and tell me what you think. Does it look familiar? Everything from panning to double tap zoom to pinch zoom in and out. What a copy cat. Palm is very close to extinction what choice do they have? . I wish them luck on this one.

bimmin318 04.14.09 at 10:53 am

Do you believe everything you read on the web? :) Companies try to patent EVERYTHING just in case. I’ve read this patent and its so vague its ridiculous. Palms first treo would have violated. What about the open source technology that apple pushes as their own (such as the cubed desktop in OSX), never hear anyone talking about that.

bimmin318 04.17.09 at 9:25 am

Why would you need a sync program with this phone? Isn’t that kind of the point of this phone: very web oriented. Calendar, Media etc is synced over the web.

droogie260z 04.17.09 at 9:40 am

does it have an app store? cause thats what puts the iphone ahead of everything imo…

Wankerlito 04.17.09 at 2:32 pm

it’s official folks the patent has been awarded to apple.

Search google:

Palm can easily lunch it without those” IP protected features”, than just do an upgrade as a developer, and woala there u have it.
or just go with it and pay apple the fee. they definitely get the money from the palm pre selling back
i own an ipod touch, so i was w8ng for a phone like this to come out. looking forward…

Wankerlito 04.24.09 at 1:21 am

Why don’t you google it dummy. There are quite a few features in iPhone which are IP protected and it seems that Palm Pre has violated few of this features. The most visible one seems to be the pinch feature uses to zoom in and zoom out webpages and images.

I must admit, I own an iphone and this phone looks very promising. If they don’t get sued then i’ll get one lol.

DynamiteChaos 04.27.09 at 4:25 am

There is not going to be a law suit. Companies like that aren’t that stupid that they wouldn’t know if they could get sued or not… Apple can’t sue them.

heythereguys1 05.04.09 at 4:28 pm

I am an apple fanboy through and through. 2 ipods, an imac, and and iphone. I love my iphone, but this IS the iphone killer. Palm has made a comback. I will be ditching my iphone for this when it comes out

KNWQA 05.07.09 at 10:38 am

Do I smell a lawsuit?

Do a search on Google: Apples Touchscreen Ambitions

Apple has been ripped off!

will this become a gsm phone after its release with sprint or is sprint going to have some kind of contract binding palm from releasing it elsewhere in the US?
